Build a 1 Obby Troll Obby Guide

A troll obby in Build a 1 Obby is a joke with a cash register. Official listing Build An Obby still pays on completions: yours, other players on the five-person server, plus offline earnings and 2x windows. If the joke deletes the finish, the register stays shut. This page is how to use hidden lava, fading platforms, fake paths, ghost routes, and kill bricks without turning the plot into a clip that nobody completes.

Do this after a fair line already exists. Getting Started is the honest six-to-eight platform course. How to Build is spacing and the every-four-parts test. How to Earn Cash is why sadistic layouts starve. Plot Upgrades is when not to buy space just to hide more lava. Controls is how you place and refund the gag when it sits wrong.

The mid-article video, i built my own TROLL OBBY in Roblox build an obby, is a real troll build. Steal the sense of humor, not the impulse to brick the only route. Rank the actual parts on the parts tier list before you empty the shop into kill bricks.

Always leave a route

Write the real path first. Cubes, platforms, ramps, a jump pad if you want length. Test it on default R6 jump (about five studs high, eighteen studs far) with no coil. Then add one gag beside that path, not on top of it. Visitors who read the joke and take the side line should still be able to return to the finish. The finish line extends to your last part; make sure that last part sits on the real route, not on a fake ledge over lava.

If you cannot beat the “funny” version yourself in play mode, it is not a troll. It is an impossible course, and How to Earn Cash already told you those pay less. Refund with a double-click or double-tap until you can finish it on purpose.

Hidden lava and kill bricks

Lava is punctuation. A kill brick under a lookalike platform, with a slightly different color on the safe cube beside it, is a readable joke. A whole floor of lava under identical cubes is a coin flip. Coin flips cut completions on a five-player server. Paint the safe parts. The shop lets you color some pieces; use that so the intended line is learnable on the second try, which is how repeats happen when people visit plots.

Hide lava around a corner only if a wall jump or a painted arrow-cube still shows the escape. Invalid placement highlights are not a troll tool. A floating kill brick that never snapped is just a bug in your layout. Fix the snap with R, Q, and E as Controls lists, or refund it.

Fading platforms and ghost paths

One fading platform as a timing beat is comedy. A chain of fades with no solid backup is a filter. Put a solid checkered platform beside or after the fade so players who panic still have a line. Ghost paths work as a fake “this way” that ends in a wall, with the real cubes painted a louder color on the other side. If both paths die, you built a dead end, not a troll.

Jump pads aimed at a fake ledge are funny once. Aim a second pad, or a ramp, at the real landing. Spheres as fake landings are extra mean because the standable face is small; use them as decoys, not as the only finish.

Fake paths that still pay

A good fake path has three tells if you look: a color mismatch, a half-cube instead of a full cube, or a wall that blocks the camera. Players who fall should respawn with enough information to take the real line. That second attempt is a completion you still want.

Do not fake the entire starter pad. Community clips show about twenty blocks of room before upgrades. Spending that whole pad on decoys means there is no product. Keep the first third honest so people commit. Put the gag in the middle. End honest so the finish registers.

Walls can hide a safe alley. That alley must be jumpable without Flying Carpet (399 Robux), Speed Coil (79), or Gravity Coil (199). VIP is offsale and would not be a fair gate anyway. Trolls that only pass buyers can survive are pass ads, not courses. Movement passes belong on the gamepasses tier list, not as the only way around lava.

Cash rules for troll plots

  • Completions still pay more than screams. If the other four players leave, you lost the live pipe.
  • Offline earnings assume a course that worked while you were online.
  • 2x cash windows are the worst time to publish a new impossible gag. Boost a finishable line, then swap in one joke after.
  • Crates, packs, and x2 Cash at 199 Robux multiply a working plot. They do not rescue a brick wall.
  • Codes are not a backup: none were confirmed as of September 2026 on the Codes Hub.

If you want more room for a side gag, fill the current pad first. Plot Upgrades are for extending a paying line, not for a larger empty maze. Shop restock: buy decoy parts only after the real cubes are placed.

A troll you can ship

  1. Build and test a fair line (How to Build).
  2. Paint the real cubes.
  3. Add one hidden lava under a lookalike, with the safe cube a different color.
  4. Add one fading platform with a solid neighbor.
  5. Add one ghost or fake path that dead-ends at a wall, not at the void.
  6. Play the whole course on default jump.
  7. If you fail twice, refund gags until you finish.
  8. Leave it up. Watch whether visitors complete. If they do not, you over-trolled; edit.

The troll video on this page is a tone check. If your plot is meaner than that clip and also unfinishable, you left the tycoon. Come back to Getting Started and put six easy platforms in front of the joke so the register rings.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Build a 1 Obby on Roblox.

Can a troll obby still earn cash in Build a 1 Obby?

Yes, if visitors can still finish. Completions, offline earnings, and 2x boosts all need a real route. Pure impossible layouts get fewer finishes. See How to Earn Cash.

Which troll parts work best?

One hidden lava brick, one fading platform with a solid neighbor, and one fake path that dead-ends. Rank lava, fades, ghost paths, and cubes on the parts tier list before you spam kill bricks.

Should I hide the entire route?

No. Keep the first third honest, gag the middle, end on a real last part so the finish line extends to a legal cube. Starter plots are small; a full-pad decoy has no product.

How do I keep a troll finishable?

Write the real path first, test it on default jump with Controls, then add gags beside it. If you cannot beat it yourself, refund until you can.

When should I expand a troll plot?

After the paying line fills the current pad. Plot Upgrades should extend a completable route, not a larger lava floor. Do not upgrade to hide more bricks you cannot test.
