What a 5-player server actually is

A server holds you plus up to four other people. They are not party members. They are not couch co-op partners. They are other plot owners and visitors sharing an instance. You will see them run, fail, and leave. Average playtime across the game sits near 13 minutes, so a visitor is not a roommate. They are a short test of your first beats.

Because the cap is five, you will not get a stadium. You will get a handful of people who can:

• Play your obby and feed your cash.
• Ignore your obby and work on their own plot.
• Copy a layout idea after they walk your route.
• Leave the instant the first jump is a hidden lava floor.

Peak concurrent players hit about 15,441 on 21 November 2025. That spike was still the same 5-player instances, just more of them. Your etiquette problem is never “too many friends on my plot.” It is “this stranger has 20 seconds of patience.”

You cannot delete their work

You cannot really delete another player’s plot. It is their plot. Double-click remove, R rotate, Q raise, and E lower work on your pieces. They do not give you a grief hammer. If someone builds a cube tower you hate, the answer is to leave, not to look for a destroy tool that is not there.

That fact is the core of server manners:

• Do not stand in a builder’s way and expect them to stop placing parts.
• Do not treat a troll plot as a personal attack you must dismantle. You cannot dismantle it. Walk off. The visit page covers when to leave.
• Do not assume a quiet plot is abandoned. Offline earnings still run. The owner may be away while the instance stays up.

Copying layouts

Copying is how this genre learns. Walking a plot and rebuilding the beat on your own land is normal. Stealing a layout as a screenshot and calling it original is still copying, just with extra steps. Either way, you are not taking their file. You are taking a read: jump distance, fade timing, where lava sits under a pad.

Good copies:

• Scout the distance, then rebuild with your own paint and rest cubes.
• Borrow a wall-jump height from a plot that felt fair.
• Recreate a troll joke only if you also recreate an exit.

Bad copies:

• Rebuild a sphere staircase and wonder why people leave.
• Copy only the kill box and skip the finish line.
• Spend the whole 5-player session AFK on someone else’s start while they try to edit.

If you copy, improve the B-tier filler. Most public plots under-build rests. Your version can be the one with a checkered platform after the fade. That is how copying becomes a better build instead of a clone farm.

Etiquette that actually matters

There is no report-for-ugly-obby button that turns a server into your private world. Etiquette is practical:

1. Finish or leave. Do not idle on a start pad if the owner is placing parts.
2. Play the route they built. Skipping every jump with a coil you bought is your choice; camping the start is rude.
3. Do not demand they rebuild. You can visit another plot. There are other slots.
4. Expect trolls. Lava and fading platforms are S-tier for a reason. Laugh or leave. See troll obby.
5. Expect builders. Some people are in edit mode with Q and E. Give them space.

VIP is offsale, so there is no “pay to own the server” pass to hide behind. Flying Carpet and coils change how you move; they do not let you moderate four strangers. Rank those spends on the gamepasses list, not as social tools.
